Daytona Beach is world famous for its beaches and tourist attractions. When you travel to this area you will find twenty-three miles of fantastic white sand beaches. These beaches date back to the early 1900's when people first used these beaches for automobile racing. Some of the fastest cars for that time period were raced along these beaches. The fastest speed was recorded at fifty-seven miles per hour in 1902. Today, driving is allowed on the beach but there are rules that are strictly enforced that state that no one should drive over the speed of ten miles per hour during the day. Also the stretch of beach that can drive on has been lowered to only eighteen miles.

Daytona Beach is famous for other things besides for the car racing. There are many things for tourists to enjoy while visiting Daytona Beach. With twenty-three miles of great beach people can enjoy such things as surfing, sunbathing, swimming, running and the list goes on an on. Whatever you want to on the beach you can do here at Daytona Beach.

Daytona Beach is also famous for is wild party atmosphere. People travel from


all over the world during the year to have a great time partying in Daytona Beach. College students take time out of their schedule and travel to Daytona Beach during spring break to party on the famous beaches of the area. The beach is lined with hotels and bars that cater to the needs of college students. Some of these bars offer packages that include flights and hotel rooms for a certain amount of time. This is great for students who are on a budget but who still want to have a great time in Daytona Beach.

There are other attractions that are not far from Daytona Beach that you can enjoy as well. Walt Disney World is just an hour away from Daytona Beach. You can also take the time to visit the Kennedy Space Center, which is also just an hour away from Daytona Beach. You can also visit things such as Universal Studios and the Cypress Gardens.
